If I want to go back to Adsense after running Journey for some months, do I need to apply to Adsense again to get my site approved?
AnsweredFirst of all, thank you for approving my site to Journey.
I have read the onboarding documentation however, I am a bit lost and confused here.
My site is currently running Adsense ads.
Now to run Journey, I understand that I need to disable Auto Ads on Adsense and remove all Adsense code from my site.
I am using Header Footer Code Manager Plugin for my Adsense Code.
Also my website has an ads.txt file as well.
So, basically removing everything Ad related for my site involves the following steps -
1. Pause Auto Ads on Adsense
2. Switch the Status of Adsense Code To “OFF” on my Header Footer Code Manager plugin. (Here's an image to make it easier for you to understand. Check the 2nd point.)

3. Coming to the ads.txt file, that can be accessed from mysite.com/ads.txt, I think I need I need to delete it as well. Because Journey will create it's own Ads.Txt file, right?
My First Question is -
Am I performing all the 3 steps mentioned above in the right manner or am I missing something?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now comes the next part.
Imagine after running Journey ads on my site, I decide that I want to move back to Adsense (although that's gonna be very unlikely).
So here's my 2nd question -
When I move back to Adsense, do I need to reapply for Adsense approval for my website since I have paused everything Adsense related on my site?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
AB

Hi AB,
We're not able to give advice on your specific site's current setup with the Adsense scripts, but you are absolutely correct that you'll want to remove the existing Adsense code that's being added to the site. Since it looks like the Headers/Footers plugin is adding it in the screenshot, then disabling it there should do the trick.
For the ads.txt, our plugin should be able to handle the ads.txt automatically, without you removing the existing ads.txt. So you should just be able to follow the onboarding prompts to get that all setup.
For the Adsense authorization, you would want to reach out to them with questions about potentially moving back down the road. Thanks!!
