Google Analytics broken after Ads
AnsweredI installed Ads yesterday and woke up to money in my Grow dashboard. awesome!
However, my google analytics isn't showing any data, not realtime or or total sessions. I had a complete drop (TANK) in my analytics since going “live” with Ads.
I checked my Google console and it shows that I had INCREASE in google traffic yesterday from previous day. All of my other sources also sent traffic to my website.
How do I fix my google analytics? AND is this impacting my money being earned by traffic?
Thank you,
Amy

Hi Amy,
I took a look, and I'm not seeing any Google Analytics scripts on your site, which is why you aren't seeing sessions tracking. If you add the GA4 tracking script back to the <head> area of your site, you should start seeing data pull in again. This won't impact revenue at all, though - it will only prevent you from having that traffic data for as long as the script is off of the site.
Hope this helps!

thank you for that info. I wonder what I did in the install of Ads to remove that. I'm thinking I used the WP Code Snippet plugin to put my GA4 tracking script in. I had to deactivate that plugin for Ads.
How do I manually add the script to my “head" are of my site?
Thanks,
Amy

No problem at all! Here's a good guide on where to find your GA4 script in your Google Analytics dashboard and how to add it to the head of your site.
