Journey by Mediavine frequently monitors the websites that we moneitize, and may make the decision to terminate our relationship with a site based on the site’s content and/or traffic strategy.
Journey reserves the right to terminate services for a website if it is discovered that a site has violated our terms of service, internal advertising policies, or our advertising partner policies.
Below are answers to a few commonly asked questions related to termination:
Why did my site get terminated?
Mediavine retains sole discretion in determining whether a site is violating our policies or the Terms of Service.
Please refer to the Journey policy page for common reasons, as well as your terms of service to better understand reasons for possible termination.
Can I make changes to my website and reapply to Journey?
You will have the option to reapply to Journey 60 days after termination. During this time, it would be expected that you make changes to your website to comply with our terms and policies. It is highly recommended that you review our policies and ensure your site aligns with our best practices.
If I own multiple websites that are monetized through Journey, does termination affect all sites under my account?
In most cases we take action on a site by site basis and not at the account level. If you have several sites with us and only one is determined to violate our policy or terms of service, only that site will be affected.
In certain cases where several sites under a single account are determined to be in violation, we may take action at the account level.
Will I still get paid?
If you have reached our payment threshold, you will be paid the revenue associated with valid traffic.
Journey reserves the right to withhold payments in the event that invalid traffic is discovered on the site and Journey is not paid by its advertisers as a result.
Does Journey have to provide notice of the termination so that I can fix the issue?
It is within our discretion whether to provide notice of the termination and allow for a period of time to fix any issues.
When termination occurs, Journey will notify the publisher in the publisher dashboard for the site that is in violation. After a period of 60 days, the publisher will have the option to reapply.
